We’re back to the best and the worst albums of the week, and I think we’ve got a good group of albums to check out (or avoid) for you continuing music collection. It’s been a while since we’ve been updating you with our weekly finds of some of the best and worst in new music releases, so check out what’s going on in the charts this week and let us know what you think:
Kissing may not cause pregnancy, but it sure can generate a slew of other medical conditions for you to contract. According to Yahoo News, a kiss warning has been issued over in Germany at one of the world’s premiere rock festivals. On Thursday officials asked attendees to avoid “hugging, kissing on the cheek, and shaking hands” with their fellow fans. It turns out there’s been an outbreak of that damn influenza bug again!
While the July 4th weekend is big for hot dogs, pool parties, parades, men on stilts an dAmerican flag cakes, it is not a big weekend for concerts. Since most tickets go on sale on Saturday morning, Ticketmaster/ Live Nation probably assumes everyone will be too busy waving flags at parades to spend money on service fees in front of there computer. Also, since most of the big summer tours have already been announced we are in the on-sale lull between Summer andFall tours.
Expect some bigger announcements in a few weeks, but for now here are a few choice nuggets that are on sale this weekend….
That’s the intro for the upcoming Beatles: Rock Band game, by Passion Pictures revealed at the E3 Microsoft press conference. The animated music video looks like it has drawn influence from several different styles. I see some of Terry Gilliam’s Monty Python referenced, and Passion Pictures has been responsible for much of the visuals of the animated rock band Gorillaz.
Another trailer, for the Brutal Legend game featuring Jack Black, was released at E3, and it showed the four rock gods that will appear throughout the game. Guess who they are:
