A Place to Bury Strangers came to bless Los Angeles with their presence once again this past weekend at our beloved Spaceland. Although we last saw them a few months ago with The Big Pink, we weren’t about to pass up another opportunity to annihilate our ear drums in the best possible way again. Besides, two great bands by the names of Useless Keys and Light Pollution beefed the line up for a solid stream of rock and by the time the night was over, we really had no words – mostly because we couldn’t hear each other anymore.

The Big Pink returned to Los Angeles on Tuesday night and the lineup they provided at the El Rey Theatre was not in the least bit disappointing. With openers such as Io Echo, Active Child, and A Place To Bury Strangers, the crowd packed it into the music venue and prepared themselves for some hard core noise to afflict their ear drums. A Place To Bury Strangers, the space rock band who managed to get a #11 spot on our Top 20 Albums of 2009 list, has debuted a new music video. The visuals that accompany “Keep Slipping Away” could be qualified as a sci-fi short film about love and the loss of love through the life of a workaholic. TV screens are thrown out of the window yet they fall with memories of happier times. No matter how great the song, the sad storyline of the video ends with the boyfriend addicted and eventually overtaken by lust for technology. Seriously. Who gets sucked into a static TV with a smile on his face?

It has only been a few days since our last update but diditleak has reported, through their twitter account, new victims that have had their albums leaked. From punk rockers, Cobra Starship (pictured above) to Grammy nominated rock band Mutemath. Some of the albums (Hot Mess & Let’s Build Something to Break) are set to be released next Tuesday, I wonder if this will help or hurt album sales. We’ll have to wait and see.
Here is a list of albums that have leaked the last few days:
