The 2011 inductees into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame were announced recently, People reports, with big names Alice Cooper, Neil Diamond and Tom Waits among those being honored, along with slightly lesser known acts Dr. John and Darlene Love. Sadly for New Jersey college girls, Bon Jovi was yet again passed over despite speculation that the patron saint of karaoke night would finally make it in this year. Maybe he can write a melodramatic yet inspiring song about it.

If you’re going to the film portion of SXSW this year, you may just get to see the new vampire flick that stars rock legends Alice Cooper, Iggy Pop, Henry Rollins (and Moby). The name of the film is blatantly Suck, as it takes on the the attitude of heavy rock and roll and then the world of vampires which so many teens and have fallen in love with thanks to films and TV shows such as Twilight and True Blood. Other actors include Malcolm McDowell and Dave Foley (of Kids in the Hall) among other unlikely cast members.

This will be the sophomore release for director Rob Stefaniuk and although we’re wondering how in the world he managed to grab such a major cast, we’re a bit more curious about how these musicians will do with comedic timing on their part.

Alice Cooper, Iggy Pop and Moby are among the musicians set to star in a new vampire film called ‘Suck’, reports The Guardian.

Slated to be a vehicle for comparison between the music industry and blood-sucking, the movie also is rumored to be ridiculous. Moby plays character Beef Bellows, lead singer for the band Secretaries Of Steak, and has 45 “important” words before getting eaten.
