Pavement To Headline and Curate ATP 2010 Pavement To Headline and Curate ATP 2010

We get a Pavement reunion in New York for 2010 but the UK has gotten them to curate the prestigious All Tomorrow’s Parties Festival the same year! Although, they said they wouldn’t be doing any “silly” like festivals, headlining and curating ATP in the country where it originated is a pretty big deal.

ATP is known as the festival of festivals in Britain for starting something alternative against the corporate guys like Glastonbury and Reading. They’ve also been very involved with the States’ indie scene by booking stages for Pitchfork and Primavera Sound, and eventually launching an ATP festival here as well.

Since Pavement was chosen to headline and curate, this means that they will basically get to make their own mixtape out of the festival by handpicking the lineup themselves. It all happens on May 14 – 16 in Minehead, England.  See more info after the jump!

They will join the Don’t Look Back series of shows taking place on Friday: The Feelies will be performing Crazy Rhythms, along with New York’s finest Suicide and The Drones. The end of the night calls for a toast, as David Cross will be entertaining people at the Comedy Stage.
