Arctic Monkeys Will Immediately Head To Studio After Touring1 Arctic Monkeys Will Immediately Head To Studio After Touring

Hard work pays off when you’re musicians on the road touring and making an album, and Arctic Monkeys seem to have this mentality. Although they’ve only recently released their album, Humbug, in 2009 and touring in support of the successful album, they’re eager to go back into the studio and record some new material while it’s still fresh in their minds.

As fans of Humbug, we can’t help but encourage this strong effort of theirs to release new music. Of course, there aren’t really any specific details about the upcoming album yet since they’re still on tour but the little bit of news back from November is a tad more fleshed out now.

david guetta 8 24 09AH CD Releases: Arctic Monkeys, David Guetta, Willie Nelson, Smokey Robinson

Willie Nelson AND Smokey Robinson? ArcticMonkeys AND David Guetta? Is there anyone NOT releasing an album this week? French house DJ, Guetta, recently had a No 1 single with the Kelly Rowland collaboration “When Love Takes Over,” and had another one with “I Gotta Feeling”, co-written with the Black Eyed Peas. The later can be heard on top 40 radio stations about a hundred times a day. Judging from the first two singles off the album, the House DJ’s new album is definitely worth your attention.  Pop sensation Colbie Caillet is trying to prove to the world that she is not a one hit (“Bubly”) wonder with her new album while Jewish musician from New York City, Matisyahu, is singing reggae songs about his religious devotion.

Here are the albums coming out August 25th:

Picture5 New Music: The Slits, Zero 7, Arctic Monkeys...

What a collection of new music coming our way: the reggae-punk of The Slits, cool, ambient grooves by Zero 7, The Black Crowes’ bluesy rock n’ roll, indie-rock ala’ Arctic Monkeys, melodic pop/rock from the smooth-singing Richard Hawley and, well, who knows what Jack White has up his sleeve for a rumored solo album.

The punks are back! The ladies of the notorious punk-reggae band The Slits have returned. On October 6 the influential punk rockers will release Trapped Animal, their first album in more than 25 years.
