This week President Obama was asked a very important question, “Kanye or Jay-Z?” We’ve got the answer to that question below. Also, Frances Bean Cobain reacted to her mother’s (Courtney Love) ranting tweets about her and Dave Grohl canoodling in the back of car. All that and more, below.

As if crooning Al Green’s “Let’s Stay Together” wasn’t cool enough, President Barack Obama took to Facebook today to put up a Spotify playlist of some of his favorite jams (or, more likely, he made a list and an aide posted it). He’s calling it Obama Campaign 2012 Playlist.

Remember when Barack Obama was super charming and likeable? You know, before he was President of the United States? Well, now that the president is beginning to campaign for our votes once again, he’s dropping his stern, professorial style and sliding back into Barack-the-charmer mode. Case in point: Obama serenading a fundraiser with a few lines from Al Green’s slow-jam soul classic, “Let’s Stay Together.” The even bigger shocker? He’s not half bad!
In between dodging rumors from the far-right that he is either a socialist or maybe just some kind of reincarnation of Hitler, as well as taking hits for not looking “sad” or “angry” enough about the BP disaster, a new accusation was lobbied at our harried Commander in Chief Barack Obama this week: that he was in the 1993 video for Tag Team’s “Whoomp! (There It Is).” Yup. At least we’re no longer debating whether or not he’s really an American, right? So that’s something.
We previously shared the news with you about Paul McCartney receiving one of the highest honor in pop music. Last night he went on over to the White House to take the Gershwin Prize for Popular Song but, of course, Paul McCartney doesn’t just show up to a place without putting on a classic “would’ve been cool to be there” kind of shows.
During the ceremony, there were musical offerings from the Beatle as he serenaded first lady, Michelle Obama, with – you guessed it – the song, “Michelle.” However, the house full of celebrities and musicians really threw it down when everyone joined in for a sing-along during “Hey Jude.” Check the video out below!

The Obamas were among a bevy of A-list performers on Sunday night at the National Building Museum, celebrating the annual Christmas in Washington benefit concert. Among the famous were singers Neil Diamond and Mary J. Blige, the band Sugarland, comedian George Lopez, and teen sensation Justin Bieber.

It seems like the music world has another cool presidential family residing in the white house this year. Barack Obama may not play the saxophone like Bill Clinton, but we just can’t get enough of his dancing now, can we?
It’s also pleasant to know that his wife, Michelle Obama, finds importance on the arts as well. In fact, she is currently encouraging everyone to acknowledge the importance of music education by throwing an event.

Barack Obama may be the latest president since Bill Clinton to have some style and he’s not afraid to show it when he feels the music in him. We’ve seen him dance many a times since he first announced his presidential candidacy, and this latest attempt to show his groove with Mexican pop singer (and wife of Sony’s Tommy Mottola), Thalia, is amusing as always.
However, people are wondering if it’s okay for the nation’s leader to be dancing in midst of a horrible recession – especially with a hot thing like Thalia in front of his wife and rest of the White House. What do you think? Is it okay for Obama to be getting his party on as seen in the video above? Vote below and tell us your reasoning by leaving a comment!

There are some radio stations that make us completely heartbroken, such as the loss of Indie 103.1 and Denver dedicating themselves to stripper hits, and then there are radio stations which can change for the better.
An Athens, Georgia radio station has changed their college radio station to an all Obama, all the time station. If you’ve ever had the fantasy of having Obama politics and some pretty funky tunes all in one place while you’re waiting in traffic on the way to work or finishing your mid-term essay, then 101.1 FM Bulldog has got you covered. (This is a huge tip, Obama girl.)
