I am loving all these shifts toward dance music (such as Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ new album, It’s Blitz!). However, that may be because I’m just a lover of all dance music in general. Well, Bloc Party’s got a new video for DJ Armand Van Helden’s remix of their song, “Signs,” and it’s giving me another reason to keep dancing. Not only does this remix have an awesome beat but its video is full of shock factor. The video features humans with mechanical pieces in place of body parts ranging from disco ball heads to audio jack mouths.
The most surprising moment comes when they zoom in on a woman (or at least something similar to a woman) who has her legs crossed very much like Sharon Stone in Basic Instinct… and let’s just say we see everything but the “everything ” is definitely NOT what you expected to see. Apart from that incident at the 1:30 mark, I think this dance music video could be one of the best for 2009. So… it’s badical (bad + radical). What do you think?

British band, Bloc Party, is coming back to the States! In support of their album, Intimacy, they will be stopping on this side of the Atlantic. Although they’ll only be here for a few dates, we’re okay with that.
Bloc Party has released a new video for their song “One Month Off.” The track is the third single off their upcoming album “Intimacy” that is expected to be released the 26th of January on Wichita Recordings.
The video is actually a pretty awesome animation. Even if you’re not a Bloc Party fan it’s well worth a watch. Check it out for yourself after the break:
Bloc Party will hop across the pond (and over most of the US) to play a run of dates on the west coast and in the southwest in December. The tour will be brief, but fans can expect the band back in the US in the new year.
The tour will support the London band’s third album Intimacy which just received a physical release last week. The album debuted at number 18 on the Billboard 200, selling 24,000 copies.
