It’s official, Britney Spears has joined the judging panel of The X Factor. After months and months of speculation, Billboard reports that the princess of pop did actually sign that $15 million contract. But Spears isn’t the only Disney star joining the show–Demi Lovato will also be a judge.
Because the next top for her trainwreck express is apparently reality television game shows, Britney Spears is reportedly in talks to be a judge for the upcoming season of The X Factor. Jason Trawick, Britney Spears’ fiancé, is currently negotiating the erratic pop star’s X-Factor contract, which Billboard asserts could be signed as early as next week.
Nothing screams of summer tour more like hot, flashy girls and edgy outfits. Quite appropriately, it was announced today via Britney Spears’ official website that Nicki Minaj - pop and R&B’s colorful answer to the bland and and same-old - will be joining the living legend on her Femme Fatale Tour. Tickets go on sale via Ticketmaster.com on April 30th, and the 26-city tour will run from June 17 in San Francisco to August 13 in Toronto, Canada.
Britney Spears may have gone through a period of time in which the public’s fascination with her had less to do with her work, and more to do with her very public breakdown–in the future, we’ll call this “The Charlie Sheen Phenomenon.” Still, while many may have predicted that her music career was over, she’s been able to silence the nay-sayers this past week.

So it comes as no surprise when MTV reports that promo pics for her latest album, Femme Fatale, depict the star sporting some Dolce & Gabanna looks.
Who would have guessed that Britney Spears would still be in the news by this point? Sure, maybe we’d occasionally hear about her madness in the tabloids, but just a few years ago, most of us felt safe in assuming that her music career was dead.
Well, for better, but more likely for worse, she’s famous again, and with a new album on its way, her name has been popping up throughout various news outlets. Recently, PopEater.com announced that Spears will be delivering a special performance on “Good Morning America” in support of her new album.
After teasing her fans with brief clips on Youtube (and teasing the rest of us by letting us think she was done with her recording career), Britney Spears will let the official video for her new single “Hold It Against Me” debut tonight, February 17 on MTV, according to The Orlando Sentinel. Our crazy, shot-in-the-dark prediction? The video will, who knows, involve a scantily clad Spears lip-synching while surrounded by backups dancers. It’s just a guess.
With the upcoming national holiday on March 29 known as Britney Spears New Album Day, we’re already hip deep in a barrage of media surrounding the pop star.
In the studio wrapping up Femme Fatale, Britney Spears tweet-hyped her collaboration with Black Eyed Peas frontman will.i.am. “In the studio with @iamwill…you guys are gonna love this one,” Spears tweeted.
Don’t call it a comeback; call it a travesty. After successfully going off the deep-end into the world of certifiable celebrity insanity, Britney Spears has been trying to prove that she’s got her life back on trac by giving her music career another go.
By this point, it would be better for her mental health if she were to stay away from the business that drove her nuts in the first place. But she’s back, and according to Yahoo!, she’s doing her best to market herself to audiences via a series of brief teasers for her new music video.
