springsteen jco 3 23 11 e1300910666166 Is Bruce Springsteen Working on a New Solo Album?

Bruce Springsteen may never release another Born to Run (or another Darkness on the Edge of Town, for that matter) but you gotta give him some credit for being an artist who hasn’t completely resigned himself to constant self-imitation. While recent releases like Magic and Working on a Dream haven’t exactly explored new territory, projects like We Shall Overcome: The Seeger Sessions indicate that Springsteen is an artist who is still searching for new ways to express himself and explore his musical roots.

Say what you will about deforestation – if it gives us more benefit shows/ bizarre pop culture moments like this one, it may be worth putting up with: Fuse.tv reports that last night, Sting, Elton John, Bruce Springsteen, Shirley Bassey, Debbie Harry and Lady Gaga all joined together to cover Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing” at Carnagie Hall for the Rainforest Foundation benefit.  I’ll say that again: last night, Sting, Elton John, Bruce Springsteen, Shirley Bassey, Debbie Harry and Lady Gaga all joined together to cover Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing” at Carnagie Hall.  I simply have no words.
