In one of the more bizarre and ridiculous Super Bowl halftime shows in recent memory, Madonna’s performance on Sunday night featured the singer on a golden throne while wearing a golden headdress, surrounded by half-naked gladiators as she lip-synched her way through a batch of old hits and new songs.  There was some controversy,  there was some “edginess,” and there was some just plain weirdness.

There is no doubt that Cee-Lo Green‘s “Fuck You” (which was hilariously changed to “Forget You” for radio edit) is one of catchiest songs of 2010. Ironically written by the saccharine-sweet pop singer, Bruno Mars, for the rapper and singer of Gnarls Barkley and Goodie Mob, the song with profanity, attitude, doo wop sunshine and some great vocals was a viral hit even before it was released as a single.

However, at some point, all great songs will be covered by some inadequate musician who thinks their spin on the song is just as great if not better. This is what actor, William Shatner, thought when he performed on George Lopez Tonight just last night. Because he couldn’t say the word on television, he sang it. (It doesn’t work that way either.
