The 2011 lineup for Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival has finally been announced! After a ridiculous amount of fake posters with “dream lineups” started floating around on the internet, we can now either start to rejoice or complain.

Coachella has made a name for itself as one of the best music festivals in the world; each year an impossible -to-beat wish list of popular and obscure acts converge to throw a music fan’s dream party. The show returns on April 15, 16 and 17 of this year, and while a full line-up has yet to be confirmed, the rumor mill is already running. According to Billboard, two acts that may show up this year are Duran Duran and The Strokes.

We’re aware of the fact that a lot of news comes through our Twitter feeds these days but just to make sure, we went over to the official Coachella website. It’s true. Striking a potential blow against angry, in between song banter/ bitching, a judge ruled this week that Jerry Goldstein, former manager of Sylvester Stewart (you might know him as Sly Stone of Sly and the Family Stone), could move forward in his countersuit against Sly, according to Inland SoCal. The basis of the countersuit? Sly complained about Goldstein live and onstage during his Coachella performance this year (ironically, one of the few coherent moments of Sly’s performance).

The sun was shining and the man that came onstage was wearing black slacks and a heavy jacket with colorful strings hanging from it. Jónsi was a colorful character last Sunday afternoon during Coachella weekend. He was filling in the number right before Phoenix (who was filling the number right before Thom Yorke) so the ‘Outdoor Theater’ crowd vastly growing.

Imogen Heap walked onto the Mojave stage on Friday in a gorgeous silver-sequenced dress, fancy tights, and her hair in a huge, messy bun. She started her set from the piano and worked her way around the stage jumping from piano to electric keyboards to cymbals and then drums. She had three microphones — two on her wrists and one around her head.There was a lot of movement, a lot of accessories, and a lot of confusion. This show for lack of a better word was a hot mess.
