Cold Cave Music Video Life Magazine Cold Cave Music Video: Life Magazine

Cold Cave returns with a video for one of our favorite tracks off of their latest album, Love Comes Close. “Life Magazine” in video form, involves a familiar face. In fact, it is Marti Domination, the same woman on the front cover of their album. Directed by Ben Chappell and Aaron Brown, the images perfectly match the balance of electro-pop and goth sounds that accompany a night out. If you’d like a night out with Cold Cave, you’re just in luck. They’ve announced plenty of more tour dates.

We recently saw a sold-out show with Cold Cave and Nite Jewel. You can read the review and see photos here. Watch the new video for “Life Magazine” below!

Nite Jewel at The Echo 3 Cold Cave, Nite Jewel: Concert Review

Sunday night was another treat for Cold Cave fans. Although there was a chance to see the rising electronic band a few day before in Eagle Rock, The Echo in Silverlake was still a very full house. True fans also endured the late start since the show was to commence at 8:00pm but unfortunately started with Nite Jewel on a very late 11pm slot. Nonetheless, it turned out to be a great show and proof that Los Angeles music-goers do not shy away from Sunday night shows.

Philadelphia’s Cold Cave is one the many bands on the rise for the electronica and synth-pop genre this year. They’ve played their rounds at CMJ and was signed to Matador Records in the summer.

Although the band originally started with sole member, Wesley Eisold, he has recruited other musicians including Dominick Fernow and Caralee McElroy (formerly of Xiu Xiu) to create a fulfilling swirl of bouncy pop hooks with a slight touch of goth for songs such as “Life Magazine” and “Love Comes Close.”
