Consequence of Sound reports today that, unsurprisingly—but still somewhat comforting—that Jack White will once again be siding with Team Coco, this time as the premiere musical guest on the first episode of Conan O’Brien’s new TBS late night show, Conan.

Having gone from hosting “the greatest franchise in television history” to moving to a TBS George Lopez pre-show to touring the United States in a big bus, Conan O’Brien’s odyssey of the past several months probably isn’t the career arc he had been shooting for when he first dreamt of making it in show business (although, in terms of his fans, the bearded Coco can probably do no wrong at this point); that said, O’Brien made another move backwards in time yesterday as he led a rockabilly band through a burning set of – you guessed it – rockabilly at a live concert at Jack White’s Third Man Records in Nashville, Tennessee, according to USA Today.

It sounds like Conan O’Brien‘s The Legally Prohibited From Being Funny On Television tour is going pretty well. Not only does he do musical numbers himself as well have musical guests, but he’s had a slew of special appearances from comedians, actors and all his friends. It makes for an interesting show when things don’t necessarily have to be censored and edited and with a video surfacing from last night’s show at New York City’s Radio City Music Hall, we can’t imagine people passing a chance to see a show.

According to Billboard, it turns out that even Pearl Jam has joined the ever-growing army of Team Conan. Last night in Seattle, members of the Seattle jumped onstage to offer tribute to their favorite ginger late night television host, dedicating three tunes to Conan O’Brien. Frontman Eddie Vedder played two songs solo—“Rise,” from his Into The Wild solo work in 2007, and a cover of John Lennon’s “Oh Yoko” goofily recast as “Oh Coco” for the hometown audience. Vedder was then joined onstage by Mike McCready for a horn-laden cover of the Who’s “Baba O’Riley.”

If you’re a fan of both Conan O’Brien and Radiohead, today is a good day for you because we’ve got some live footage of both things combined. As we all know, Coco has been kicked off of television thanks to NBC and Jay Leno but we get the benefit of buying tickets to his Legally Prohibited From Being Funny on Television tour. (Clever name, right?)
It seems that he is having musical guests at these shows as since Spoon also hit the stage for Conan, according to Pitchfork. That video hasn’t surfaced yet, but what we do have is some footage of Conan covering Radiohead’s “Creep” (again). Check it out below!

In the wake of NBC’s ritual sacrifice of Conan O’Brien, in a failed, desperate attempt to appease the sky gods and make Jay Leno remotely funny, the flame-haired ex-Tonight Show host is capitalizing on the near-universal good will and support generated by his fans and launching a two-month comedy tour of North America, according to The Wrap.

Conan O’Brien sadly did his last show yesterday as part of The Tonight Show legacy, and he couldn’t have had a classier exit despite all the jokes made in midst of the fight among Jay Leno, NBC, and himself. As we previously told you, Neil Young was booked to play as his last musical guest but what we didn’t expect was Will Ferrell busting out “Free Bird.” Nor did we expect Conan O’Brien to show us his chops on guitar.
We’ve rounded up the unfortunate goodbye jokes, performances and heart felt speech all for you in videos below. It may have been a sad night but it was full of dignity and triumph.

Team Coco has lost. It’s official. Conan O’Brien has been axed by NBC and what many have speculated for the past two weeks is now fact. His last episode as part of The Tonight Show legacy will air this Friday.
According to our sister site, ScreenCrave, O’Brien is being offered $32 million dollars and his production crew who moved from New York to Los Angeles for the show will be given $12 million – making the sum $44 million altogether. The deal will be confirmed later today. The soon-to-be former talk show host will be able to return to television on September 1 with any network, but what will he bring us for his last two shows?

Spoon stopped by The Late Night Show with Conan O’Brien last night and performed their song, “Written In Reverse,” to close out the show. With all the drama happening among Leno, NBC,and O’Brien lately, the band couldn’t have picked a better song with lyrics to send a message out on life’s unexpected occurrences.
Check the performance out below!
