The new cast of “Dancing With The Stars” has been revealed, and it features a whole lot of barely famous TV hosts and once-famous TV stars. There was a lot of speculation on who would be a part of the new cast, but all the guesses were put to rest earlier today on “Good Morning America”.
Unless you’ve been living under a particularly large and heavy rock lately, you’ve likely heard that Chaz Bono has been added to the cast of Dancing with the Stars season 13. In addition, you’ve also likely heard that the more conservative cultural elements of the population are bristling over the fact that a transgender person—Chaz—is being featured on the show. The strife has led to several celebrity’s jumping to Chaz’s defense, including, most recently, his mother, singer/ actress Cher.
It’s the Season 12 finale of “Dancing with the Stars” and NFL wide receiver Hines Ward is the new ballroom champ. Of course it takes two hours of music performances, encore dances from all of this seasons “stars,” and a few dramatic tape pieces to get there. Unexpectedly, Disney star Chelsea Kane finishes in third place, leaving the second spot open for Kirstie Alley, proving just how much people love a little crazy in their lives.
“The Finals” have arrived on Dancing with the Stars, and to prove their worthy of the mirror ball trophy, each star must perform two new routines: a judge’s pick and the much anticipated “freestyle.” With one more dance to perform on tonight’s results finale, Hines Ward and Chelsea Kane are tied at the top of the leader board and Kirstie Alley continues to bring the “cray cray” entertainment we’ve all grown to love. She’s 60 and she does a cartwheel.
On “Dancing with the Stars” The Semifinals have arrived and the pressure is on, as each of four remaining couples is responsible for learning three routines. For once the leader board remains the same, with Disney star Chelsea Kane in first, followed by Hines Ward and his partner Kym, who leave it all out on the dance floor after coping with a scary injury this week.
It’s Instant Choreography Week, on “Dancing with the Stars” and with the finals approaching the demands of the competition are even more intense. Besides the normal individual dance the stars are given the music for their second routine with just 20 minutes to rehearse. The night puts Disney star Chelsea Kane back on top, and after a triumphant comeback last week, Ralph Macchio dances on an injured knee and takes a devastating tumble back to the bottom.
It was “A Night of Greatness” on Dancing with the Stars, and that means a lot of ballroom champions you’ve never heard of. With an extra judge on the panel, two champion coaches, and an additional team dance, the scores are all over the place, shaking up the leader board again, and leaving some stars to achieve “greatness” while others just can’t keep up.
It’s “Guilty Pleasures” night on Dancing with the Stars, and that means ballroom performances to songs we’re all embarrassed to like, aka my iTunes library. With stars giving mostly good performances, some surprises of the night include the resurrection of music group Hanson, a ballroom mishap from someone other than Kirstie Alley, and the first two “tens” of the season.
“Dancing With the Stars.” Who would have guessed that a reality show in which B-list (at best) celebrities show their skills on the dance floor would be as popular as it has become?
Well, justified or not, the show certainly has scored a reaosonably impressive fan base, and we expect that those who tuned in for the previous seasons will stick around this year. Last night (March 29) featured the first “results” episode of the season, and The Washington Post reports that radio DJ Mike Catherwood is the first um, “star” to get kicked off.
