The Grammy nominees were finally announced this week. There were a lot of surprises in the categories, including the fact that no female artist is up for Best Album Of The Year. But the ladies weren’t the only ones who got snubbed. Justin Bieber was also left out of the running. The teenage sensation received zero nominations, and that got his manager, Scooter Braun very upset. Also, Dave Grohl released the trailer for his music-documentary Sound City, which is set to premiere at the Sundance Film Festival early next year. All that and more below.

Last week we heard news that some activists in Sweden were plastering pictures with Rihanna‘s beatup face all around Stockholm. Their goal was to prevent Chris Brown from performing in their town. This week, Dave Grohl confirmed the rumors about the Foo Fighters‘ split. The band is going on hiatus for an unspecified amount of time. The rumors first started when Grohl mentioned, while playing onstage at the Global Citizen Festival, that he didn’t know when they would be playing live again. Also, R.E.M.‘s former guitarist Peter Buck released his first solo album today. And Adele‘s Skyfall theme song hit the web. You can listen to the tune below.
