It’s Monday and as promised, we have the lucky winners of our Depeche Mode giveaway. Both of our winners will receive a Tour of the Universe DVD, and one of those winners will also get a poster. To enter, you had to tell us what were your favorite English-bands of all time. Most of you had Depeche Mode as your number one, and we got a whole lot of Radiohead. Depeche Mode is tearing up European charts, and electronic music resource Beatportal has invited its readers to send in remixes of the popular group’s song Peace. Beatportal is selling the track’s samples for $4, and user submissions have spanned seventeen genres, including psy trance, minimal, tech house, dubstep and drum and bass.
The best part is, you can go to the Beatportal website, and listen to all of the submitted tracks for free. The band have agreed, for the first time ever, to let the public remix one of their songs officially, and starting next week (May 26), you’ll be able to comment and vote on your favorite.

With their new release, “Sounds of the Universe“, Depeche Mode has made their triumphant return as the world’s most enterprising electronic band in its 30th year. The band kicks off their world tour in Luxembourg on May 6 and will continue to tour through the winter.
But not everyone can afford the (rather pricy) tickets. Fortunately, the band is providing fans another avenue to the live music experience. Depeche Mode will release their documentary, The Dark Progression, in DVD format on June 16. Watching the film won’t be exactly like being there for a live set, but there are plenty of extras on the DVD to keep the peeps captivated…
