Say what you will about deforestation – if it gives us more benefit shows/ bizarre pop culture moments like this one, it may be worth putting up with: Fuse.tv reports that last night, Sting, Elton John, Bruce Springsteen, Shirley Bassey, Debbie Harry and Lady Gaga all joined together to cover Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing” at Carnagie Hall for the Rainforest Foundation benefit.  I’ll say that again: last night, Sting, Elton John, Bruce Springsteen, Shirley Bassey, Debbie Harry and Lady Gaga all joined together to cover Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing” at Carnagie Hall.  I simply have no words.

Last night was the big night for the music industry. The 52nd Grammy Awards were held in Los Angeles’ Staples Center and everyone from Justin Beiber to Jeff Beck showed up for the special event. Also, like usual, they managed to cram in 16 performances into a three hour show.

Although, we have to admit, with the exception of Lady Gaga, Beyonce, The 3-D Michael Jackson tribute, and Mary J. Blige/Andrea Bocelli duet, the show didn’t live up to the hype last night. Whether you tuned in or missed out last night, we’ve got all the performances for you to watch below!

Alice in Chains will be releasing their first album, Black Gives Way To Blue, in fourteen years this September. There’s a ton of buzz and excitement for the new album since they decided to have William DuVall join.

However, we’ve just learned that Alice in Chains has asked the most unexpected guest to play on one of their tracks. Who will be making this guest appearance? None other than the diva, himself – Sir Elton John. Did your jaw drop? Did your throat just produce a guffaw?

They wanted to add a piano track to this particular song and as their guitarist and vocalist, Jerry Cantrell, stated in a press release, “A friend suggested we call Elton, and I remember laughing and saying, ‘Yeah, I’ll get right on that.’”

Elvis Costello has a new television show titled “Spectacle: Elvis Costello with…” debuting on the Sundance Channel on December 3.  Each show will be one hour and feature Costello having in-depth conversations with a variety of high-profile guests including The Police, Elton John, Jenny Lewis, Loud Reed and even President Bill Clinton among many others. The guests will also perform songs and Costello will join them.

The show will air every Wednesday at 9 PM EST/PT between December 3 and February 25. Elton John will be the first guest on December 3. Check out the entire guest schedule after the break.
