The Twilight Saga Eclipse Soundtrack Features Metric Bat For Lashes Vampire Weekend And More The Twilight Saga: Eclipse Soundtrack Features Metric, Bat For Lashes, Vampire Weekend And More

Late last night we shared the news with you in regards to the upcoming soundtrack for Eclipse, the third installment of the Twilight series. Although a couple of movie stars may be holding production back by demanding a pay raise, Alexandra Patsavas and her people at Chop Shop Records and Atlantic Records are ready to share the music with you. Exciting, right? Even if you’re not a Twilight fan, you have to admit the last soundtrack was pretty rad with their choice to go for a “softer” indie touch.

The con to this soundtrack track list? We’re going to have to wait all day to have the final list of songs and artists much like we had to wait all day for the Bonnaroo lineup…  The track list will reveal itself here but we’ve got the first batch of artists who are on the Eclipse soundtrack below! We’ll be updating it here on the site until we have them all! Check it out so far after the jump!

MG 88421 Fanfarlo: Concert Review and Photos

London indie pop group, Fanfarlo, graced Los Angeles with their presence once more this past Saturday at the El Rey Theatre. With Brooklyn band, April Smith and The Great Picture Show opening up with a very feisty and powerful set (amazing vocals!), Fanfarlo had a nearly sold out show with fans who enjoy the smooth vocals of Simon Balthazar and the allegro but unconventional strings provided by Cathy Lucas. These fans obviously included us since they’ve been one of our BeatCrave Favs.

Fanfarlo: BeatCrave Fav

fanfarlo pic Fanfarlo: BeatCrave Fav

At first listen, you may mistake London-based band, Fanfarlo, as Arcade Fire. Then you realize that’s impossible since Arcade Fire hasn’t released an  new album since 2007 and you know every single note, every crescendo, every xylophone line and everything else unconventional about their sound. Plus you hear a hint of Beirut and Stars.

Fanfarlo may also emphasize the violin, mandolin, and trumpet over the common guitar and bass, but what they’ve got over Arcade Fire is their pop-friendly choruses and instrumental interludes. The amalgamation of their songwriting and stage presence may similarly swell up but they perform an exceptional job in regards to leaving your soul feel a bit lighter. If you don’t have their debut album, Reservoir, I highly recommend you immediately pick it up and get lost in this indie pop goodness. Until then, check them out in our BeatCrave Fav series below!
