New Zealand’s comedy duo, Flight of the Conchords has announced upcoming performance dates in California. Members Jermaine Clement and Bret McKenzie will play at the Berkeley Greek Theater on May 28th and the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angles on May 30th. This is the first time the Grammy Award nominated group, is performing in the U.S. since the their last tour in 09′ and cancellation of their ’07 hit show. Clement says:

The HBO comedy series The Flight of the Conchords will not return for a third season. That’s a bummer. Show co-creators Bret McKenzie, Jemaine Clement and James Bobin delivered the (awful) news on their website: “We’ve noticed the less we say about the future of the show, the more people want to talk about it, so in an effort to reverse this trend we are today announcing that we won’t be returning for a third season.”

Attention all those who don’t give a damn about Rock Band. It might be time to reconsider. Especially now that the (awesome) comedy folk duo Flight of the Conchords are coming to Rock Band.
Sure, The Beatles: Rock Band was pretty stellar, but this…this is why music + video gaming demands our attention!
Bret McKenzie, one half of the New Zealand duo with Jemaine Clement, told TV Guide in a video interview at the Emmy Awards that three of their songs would appear in the game.

Still bummed that season two of Flight Of The Conchords would be the last for the funky-folk duo from New Zealand? Me too.
And even though we have new records on the way and tour dates, it’s still sad there will be no season 3 to continue the kooky (and very funny) hi-jinks of the musical duo.
Ah, but never say never — according to a cast member, Flight Of The Conchords could return in the form of a movie or stage show.

If you can’t wait to get your fix of the Flight of the Conchords, now you don’t have to. Songs featured on the upcoming season of the show will now will be available the day after they air on iTunes.
The first episode of season two of the show is expected to air January 18 in the United States, with the song “Angels” from the episode expected to hit iTunes virtual store shelves on the 19th. Once the entire season is complete on April 14th Conchords fans can download the entire 10-song set, including five additional tracks.
