Each artist comes from a very different background and genre but are actually quite close in real life. They first met while they each on their separate tours in Amsterdam as revealed in a conversation Nelson had Sky News:

I’ve never had the (mis)fortune of meeting Amy Winehouse in person, but if I ever do, I’ll be wearing a riot police uniform for protection.
As if one attack on a fan at last year’s Glastonbury Festival wasn’t enough, BBC reports that the 25-year-old singer turned herself in to police on Thursday (March 5) and was arrested and charged with “common assault” for allegedly hitting a fan at the End of Summer Ball in London’s Berkley Square on September 26, 2008.
“Amy voluntarily attended a police station in London yesterday morning,” Chris Goodman, a spokesperson for the singer, said in a statement. “She was questioned by appointment in relation to an accusation made after the Berkeley Ball last year.
