Despite the lameness of her label (it really isn’t debatable, so don’t debate), that Beth Ditto is one of the fiercest voices of the (pseudo) indie-music scene. Scratch that, of the whole music scene, (pseudo) indie or otherwise. With an unmatched clarity, masterful phrasing and disturbingly infinite range, Ditto is certainly a force of raw talent. Combine that with an original dance-punk/garage-esque hybrid of genre and lyrics that kick your ass and leave you smiling and you’ve got a band worthy of our BeatCrave Fav series.
With the release of their newest album, Music for Men, it seems as though Gossip is only getting better with age: there’s a familiarity and newness to the whole album that can’t be found in the noise of so many of these flash-in-the-pan, regurgitated groupings. Gossip continue to outdo themselves and, if you’re not already, now is a great time to become a fan of one hell of a band. Check them out after the jump!

Lots of good picks this week. The man known best for making good bedroom music, Mr. Ginuwine himself has an album coming out this week called A Man’s Thoughts. If you are a Ginuwine, a 90′s R&B fan, or just looking to get some girl into bed, you will love this album. You can go in a different direction with anticipated records coming out this week from progressive rock groups The Dear Hunter and Grammy award winning The Mars Volta. Also, this week we have Music For Men by the group Gossip. As the main act on the record label Music With A Twist, they are making the GLBT community proud. With so many albums coming out this week you are sure to find one that suits you.
