Great Northern‘s show Monday night at the Silverlake Lounge was filled to the brim. The dark and noisy bar, credited with being a major player in the beginning of the Silversun Pickups‘ career, was stuffed full of people eager to hear the band play some of its new songs off of its new album, Remind Me Where the Light Is, which drops on April 28th.

Opening the show was O + S, a band on Saddle Creek Records whose music is a dreamy combination of ethereal rhythms and angelic vocals delivered by two female vocalists. Their set was solid for the type of music it is, which is extremely mellow and laid-back, with each song flowing into the next smoothly and efficiently.
