Right this moment, you can head over to Amazon and stream the entire New Moon soundtrack. That’s right, you can listen to tracks 1 – 15 as much as you want before the actual album release date! The only catch is that you’re only given 30 second clips for each song. We know; what a tease!

However, 30 seconds of one of most highly anticipated compilation put together for a film just might be worth it. You can finally hear what Thom Yorke, Grizzly Bear, Bon Iver & St. Vincent have secretly been cooking up.

Death Cab For Cutie Does First Single For New Moon Soundtrack New Moon Soundtracks Complete Track Listing Announced!

The New Moon soundtrack has been announced, and it couldn’t be any more different from the first one! We knew it was going to have an indie sound, but this is just ridiculous! Ridiculous in a good way, anyway.

We had known about Thom Yorke, Bon Iver, Band of Skulls, and Death Cab For Cutie but who knew the Bon Iver track was going to be a duet with St. Vincent! Others that were recently suspected and now confirmed are The Killers, Grizzly Bear, and Stephanie Meyer’s muse, Muse.

Although one part of us is surprised that indie darlings, Anya Marina and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, are also in the mix, another part says this makes sense. A few of these artists are somehow associated with Alexandra Patsavas’ label, Chop Shop, or her close friends, Nettwerk Music Group. Check out the full track list below and tell us what you think!

Along with the slow-motion feature many videos seem to be using these days, stop-motion also seems to be a popular choice. Watch the star in this video, or at least what you can make out of him since you never see his face.

Check it out below and let us know what you think!

Some bands don’t need all those theatrical special effects, their presence on stage is more than enough. This was the case for Wilco who graced the stage at Coney Island’s KeySpan Park Monday night, reports Reuters.

It was American rock ‘n’ roll at its finest with Wilco at the helm. The band took the stage after opening band Yo La Tengo, and began with the “cheeky, energetic” Wilco song. The band played songs from their latest self-titled album (previously released on June 30th) along with old-time energetic favorites such as I Am Trying to Break Your Heart and Summerteeth. The band also included some of their more mellow songs such as At Least That’s What You Said and, Bull Black Nova, off of their new album.

amy speace Concert Picks: Amy Speace, Ben Kweller, PJ Harvey...

This weekend’s picks have license to take us away a la Calgon. The impending solstice is inching ever closer, pointing us in the direction towards mellow tunes reverberating within the walls of whichever venue is doing the hosting. Oh, those summer nights.

  • Amy Speace | Friday, June 19 | 9:30 pm | Joe’s Pub (Public Theater), New York, NY – Map | CD release parties are fun. The mellifluous, unassuming East coast folk singer-songwriter will unleash her sophomore album [and therefore a huge portion of her heart via] The Killer in Me, and you – yes, you – could be there. Click here for tickets.
  • Ben Kweller | Friday, June 19 | 8:00 pm | $17 | El Rey Theater, Los Angeles, CA – Map | Kweller deals a good hand at the country side of things on his most recent album, entitled Changing Horses, managing to retain a vocal affinity to classic rock – dare we say Jackson Brown? – and therefore his known indie rock style. Click here for tickets.

Enticing fans to pay $250 to $300 for tickets to the festival is no easy task, and its producers have definitely played it safe, with over 100 must-see bands spread out across six stages.
