Axl Rose Denies Issuing Press Release On LAX Paparazzi Incident Axl Rose Launches $5 Million Lawsuit Against Ex Manager For Trying To Reunite GNR, Hurting His Feelings (Literally)

As you may recall, Irving Azoff and Front Line Management launched a lawsuit earlier this against Axl Rose, alleging that “Rose broke an oral agreement for Front Line to receive 5% the singer’s commissions, which are ‘due on more than $12 million in earnings’ that he earned from performances overseas.”  Which is pretty funny on two counts: 1) That a major corporation actually believed that a man who surgically altered his face to resemble stretched Silly Putty could be held accountable for anything he says; and 2) Axl Rose made $12 million last year?  Man, that’s wild.

Accordingly, Rose amped up this legal slapfight to a $5 million countersuit according to Spin, noting that Azoff conspired to reunite the original Guns N’ Roses lineup, in addition to really, really hurting Axl’s feelings.  No, seriously.

Axl Rose Denies Issuing Press Release On LAX Paparazzi Incident Axl Rose Sued For Nearly $2 Million

Axl Rose, frontman for both Guns N’ Roses and the essentially-just-a-tribute-band group that currently tours under that name, has apparently—gasp!—burned a bridge in the music industry.  AP reports that Irving Azoff’s Front Line Management sued the waxy-faced (seriously, what is that?  Botox?) singer on Thursday for approximately $1.9 million in “unpaid commissions” and fees.

The management company contends that Rose broke an oral agreement for Front Line to receive 5% the singer’s commissions, which are “due on more than $12 million in earnings” that he earned from performances overseas.

A spokesperson from the airport said there were no airport officials around to see it, but it was caught on tape by the TMZ.

Now, it seems that Rose is in a fight with himself. According to MTV, front man Rose is denying authorization on a statement about LAX’s paparazzi incident. Yes, he is in a fight with some words he was supposed to have said himself!

Gun n’ RosesChinese Democracy album was one of the longest awaited albums that I’d encountered in my life time. For a while, it was running neck and neck with Dr. Dre‘s continuously pending, Detox (which still doesn’t have a release date). After Democracy‘s release almost a year ago, the band has finally decided to go on tour with it and guess what? The U.S. isn’t a part of it. Guns n’ Roses will hit the northern territories to visit our friends in Canada instead.

Take a look at the schedule…
