Lady Gaga is joining the likes of Gwen Stefani, who recently donated $1 million to Japan relief efforts, by raising money for the cause. Contact Music reports that the pop singer and has already raised $1.5 million, and hopes to be able to give even more.
Gwen Stefani has shown us several different sides of her character and identity over the years, but perhaps the most admirable one came out this week when, according to Rolling Stone, she generously donated $1 million to Save the Children’s Japan Earthquake-Tsunami Children in Emergency Fund. On top of her own donation, Stefani is asking that her fans do whatever they can to help out. For followers of her clothing line, she’ll be selling a special T-shirt through nodoubt.com, with all of the proceeds going to Japan relief efforts.
She already rocked the world in No Doubt and baffled the world when she gave us the words “Hollaback Girl,” but Gwen Stefani hasn’t been content to be another 90s relic trying in vain to hold on to a music career. She’s made an impression on the world of fashion as well, all while raising her song Kingston with husband Gavin Rossdale of Bush.
And now according to a report from Yahoo!, little Kingston made a brief attempt to get in on the family business.

Group members of No Doubt, have come a long way since they formed the band back in 1986 in Anaheim, CA. No Doubt started as a ska-punk band that went through all sorts of ups and downs, from suicide, (original lead vocalist John Spence), to heartbreak (bass guitarist Tony Kanal broke up with lead singer Gwen Stefani) and managed to stay together and stay sane in a music world where bands break up faster than they can finish a full length album. One of the keys to No Doubt’s success and the reason they have been able to make it through all these years is the fact that they are friends as well as bandmates.
