Quincy Jones wants to help Haiti too, but he’s suggesting that musicians re-record the charity song, ‘We Are the World” which he originally made famous with Michael Jackson for USA For Africa in 1985. The 76-year-old music legend who produced Michael Jackson’s Off the Wall and Thriller says that he will be gathering musicians in a Los Angeles studio on Monday to redo the 25-year old hit song.

When Radiohead announced how they were going to take a day out of recording time (for their upcoming album) to fly back to Los Angeles and do a benefit show for Haiti relief fund on Sunday night, many publications, including us, jumped on the chance to report it. However, it wasn’t just any regular concert. In order to go to this Radiohead show at The Henry Fonda this past weekend, you had to bid for your ticket.
According to the Associated Press, attendees included more than a handful of celebrities on the general admission floor but those who were just die-hard fans of Radiohead didn’t seem to think anything less about the event.

With more than 200,000 people killed from the recent and unfortunate Haiti earthquake on January 12th, everyone has graciously been doing their part to help those in need. Tonight, the “Hope For Haiti: A Global Benefit for Earthquake Relief” telethon will take over our televisions in order to raise the money for numerous relief funds.
The multi-network telethon will have contributions from some of the biggest names in film, sports, and politics. The music industry is also lending their talents to the event by performing from all over the world. Superstars such as Madonna, Rihanna, Bruce Springsteen, Taylor Swift and more will all be involved.

Everyone is doing their part to help the crisis that is going on over in Haiti. Everyone includes Radiohead. The band has announced that they will be flying to Los Angeles to do a benefit show for Haiti relief. The show will take place at The Music Box at The Fonda this Sunday on January 24th. Doors will open at 7 pm and tickets will be sold by auction.

Dave Matthews Band, Peter Gabriel, Slash, Lupe Fiasco and more have generously donated some of their new or unreleased material so that more funds can go toward Haiti relief. In a compilation titled, Download to Donate for Haiti, the Music For Relief organization have teamed up with United Nations Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, Dave Matthews Band’s BAMA Works to offer music in exchange for donations.
Music For Relief was founded by the band, Linkin Park, and is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing aid victims of natural disasters and the prevention of such disasters. More info on how you can download and donate for those whose lives have been shattered below.

As we all know, Haiti’s capital city, Port-au-Prince, is still in need of help after their recent and devastating earthquake. Hollywood icons and major music acts are encouraging everyone around the globe to donate what they can. Every cent toward the Haiti relief is money well spent for help all disastrous occurrences in one of the world’s poorest countries.
Now, charities who support other purposes are reaching out to give to these charities focused on Haiti. One in particular is the Red Hot Organization, who mainly supports funding for HIV/Aids awareness. Their latest project, Dark Was the Night, is now going towards Haiti relief.
