“It’s Official,” the youngest JoBro tweeted today, “I’m coming back to Broadway.”   He’ll be replacing Daniel Radcliffe in playing the role of J. Pierrepont Finch in “How to Succeed in the Business Without Really Trying.”  Nick already has a long list of credentials, including a long history in musical theater and those “Camp Rock” movies (It’s okay, we don’t remember them either).

Twista, the fastest rapper alive and the Jonas Brothers, the biggest boy band alive both have albums dropping this week. But the most exciting is the album from rockers, Incubus. The only problem is that it’s a two-disc greatest hits album with a few new songs thrown in to get people to buy it, but fans who already own 95% of the music probably won’t.

Here is a list of all the albums coming out June 16th:

Jonas Brothers Movie Disappointing Disney

800px the jonas brothers perform at the kids inaugural cropped Jonas Brothers Movie Disappointing DisneyThe Jonas Brothers’ movie was released this past weekend. It’s was supposed to be one of the top movies of the year, starring the hottest thing around, the Jonas Brothers. I mean, come on! They played at the White House! And the movie is in 3-D!

The movie is of a concert the Jonas brothers played last year. Unfortunately for Disney, the opening box office was only $12.7 million, one-third of what the company expected the movie to bring in over its first weekend. It didn’t even finish in first place at the box office, coming in second behind the second week of the instant classic, Tyler Perry’s (I’m not sure if Tyler Perry’s is part of the actual title, but I haven’t seen the rest of title written without Tyler Perry’s in front of it, so I’m assuming it is) Madea Goes to Jail. Disney denies that the Jonas Brothers movie is a disappointment, but it is doing much worse than their first such attempt to sucker parents out of the $10 they need to get a child into a movie theater, last year’s The Best of Both Worlds, a movie of a Miley Cyrus concert, which brought in $31.1 on its opening weekend. Best of Both Worlds did have an advantage in that it was billed as a one-week only release, but still, the Jonas Brothers movie cannot be considered a success.

After last year’s dismal TV audiences, the 2009 Grammy Awards captured 19.05 million households, up from 17.18 million in 2009. With a variety of artists, spanning decades of music, the 3 ½ hour CBS broadcast was able to appeal to all ages and galvanize the failing industry.

Jack Sussman, an executive vice president at CBS Entertainment said:

“The Recording Academy put on quite a show — an unprecedented 24 performances and a range of artists that appealed to ‘tweens,’ teens, young adults and [baby] boomers.”

DAILY COMPLAINT: Is New Year’s Eve a holiday for 12-year-old girls?

clarkseacrest08 12 09 DAILY COMPLAINT: Is New Years Eve a holiday for 12 year old girls?

For a show that started as a rival to the traditional New Year’s fare, New Year’s Rockin’ Eve has sure changed.  The show originally had artists that challenged the establishment – one of the first shows was hosted by George Carlin – but now none of that remains, as can be seen in the choice of co-host Ryan Seacrest and the artists who will perform this year, including Jesse McCartney, Fall Out Boy, and the newest additions, Taylor Swift and the Jonas Brothers.
