While “Imma let you finish” is still fresh in our collective memory, it’s nice to be reminded every once in a while that in addition to making a very public ass of himself, Kanye West can also make a really expensive and cheesy music video when he sets his mind and record label’s wallet to it. His latest feature is entitled, “Coldest Winter” and it’s off his 2008 disc 808’s & Heartbreak. Check it out…

Kanye West has laid down low for the most part after he embarrassed himself along with Taylor Swift at the MTV Video Music Awards last year. Some say he went to India. Some say he even died (obviously, not true). His blog was spared of all the caps he liked to pound out in posts which were infamous for long rants. Some say this unusual silence from the rapper turned auto tune-singer has almost given him redemption, but his ego’s stigma still has an effect on others.

There’s no doubt that when we posted this photo and this video from 1985’s original “We Are The World,” we’re still in awe of so many great talents together doing such a great thing. Although life seems to have its triumphs and its tragedies, it’s great to know that there will always be people who want to help during troubled times. Last night, Quincy Jones and a roster of all-star 81 musicians have come together in LA to make that magic happen once again with the re-recording and taping event for Haiti.

Taylor Swift is a sell out.
Well not actually her, (even though she was the biggest selling U.S. artist of 2008, so technically that could be her title) but according to Examiner the first fifteen dates on her upcoming 2010 Fearless tour sold out within minutes today. Way to go Swift!
There are still a lot of tickets out there so if you’re a Swift fan (or just really hate Kanye West) you might still be able to score tickets. Ms. Swift will be gracing stages all over the U.S., Canada, and Australia for a total of 37 shows.

Kanye West will always be in the news. That’s just the way it’s going to be. Although there may be tons of coverage on the rapper/kind-of-singer, the news will always be controversial enough to keep people intrigued.
Back in the day, he said our former president didn’t care about black people, fell in love with the autotune, recently traumatized an innocent 19-year-old, and his death hoax also created a media frenzy earlier this week. The media will always be on the heels of West and his shenanigans.
Now, Spike Jonze (director of Where The Wild Things Are) is telling people that his collaboration with West on the short film, “We Were Once A Fairytale,” was not taken down from West’s website without reasoning.
