We knew this was coming. Last week we reported that Jennifer Lopez was in final negotiations to join the cast of “American Idol” as one of its judges. This came weeks after Ellen Degeneres‘ decision to leave the show, and Kara DioGuardi’s rumored firing. Well, it’s not rumor! The terrible judge with the impossible to pronounce last name is – maybe – out at American Idol. TMZ reports that Kara DioGuardi might be following Ellen DeGeneres right out the door of American Idol headquarters.
It appears show producers put the kibosh on DioGuardi’s contract renewal; Idol is being tweaked (again) with a return to a three-judge format. Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler is reportedly first on the list to replace DioGuardi. DeGeneres announced her departure from the show on Thursday with Jennifer Lopez reportedly(!) on deck as a replacement.
