It’s been two months since we first heard that the colorful pop singer Katy Perry would be hitting the screen in 3D. Well, guess what, there’s already a trailer. Katy Perry’s Part Of Me is due out Fourth of July weekend. The trailer recently hit the web, and from the looks of it, the concert movie is exactly what we expected it would be. Check it out.

The People’s Choice Awards of 2012 were held last night in Los Angeles, and, in addition to actually handing an award out to Kim Kardashian for “Best Celebrity” (seriously), the awards ceremony further pointed out its obsolescence and pointlessness by doling out best music awards to such illustrious musicians as Maroon 5, Demi Lovato, and, of course, Katy Perry.

And yet, somehow, despite the fact that this process has created nearly 100 billion lives since the dawn of mankind, I have to stop and write about the fact that Beyonce Knowles is knocked up.
Well… I suppose it was bound to happen eventually… but did it have to happen this way? DID IT, AMERICA? I feel kind of like Charlton Heston at the end of Planet of the Apes… “All the time it was… we finally really did it. YOU MANIACS! YOU BLEW IT UP! OH, D*** YOU! GODD*** YOU ALL TO HELL!”
Ahem. Of course, I’m talking about how Katy Perry has now tied the record with Michael Jackson for the most Number One songs from a record on the Billboard Top 100 chart.

Katy Perry’s fourth single from Teenage Dream, “E.T.,” recently took the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100, and as of today, March 31, it’s got an appropriately sci-fi themed music video to boost its popularity even further. Sure, the space romance theme may be lifted directly from Lady Gaga, but it’s not like Katy Perry was the most original star in the first place.

Katy Perry must be enjoying her life right now. Last October, she married boyfriend Russell Brand, and it looks as though the state of matrimony has done little to slow down her already successful career. According to Billboard, “E.T.” the fourth single from her album Teenage Dream, recently took the coveted number one spot on their Hot 100 list.
It’s worth mentioning that the song is a caollaboration with Kanye West. Say what you like about him, but that man has the Midas touch.
It is indeed a shame that some of the world’s biggest pop stars don’t pen their own tunes, but that’s been part of the music business for decades now. Katy Perry may have shocked some people with “I Kissed a Girl,” but you may be even more shocked to know that the song was actually written by the prolific Dr. Luke.
However, according to an Associated Press article via Yahoo!, the duo may be ending their working relationship, which could be bad news for Perry.
