Turns out Keith Richards still has no problem living up to the rebellious and freewheeling characterization of himself that he endlessly (and quite entertainingly) muses on in his new autobiography, Life. Case in point: during an interview promoting Life with a Swedish journalist in a Paris Hotel, Keef managed to threaten and then attack the interviewer ten minutes into the chat.

In honor of the coolest guitarist of all time’s upcoming autobiography, Life, The Guardian UK has collected a series of 20 staggering revelations from Keith Richards’ long and ludicrously storied life. From getting caught dropping acid and mistaking his arresting police officers for dwarves, setting fire to the Playboy Mansion, injecting heroin in his “bum,” and swapping wives and lovers with Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger, Life is a cavalcade of ridiculous and extreme living. Interesting note at The Playlist regarding Johnny Depp and word that the actor is headed to the director’s chair to shoot a documentary about his friend, and legendary guitarist, Keith Richards. The duo originally met while filming the third flick in the Pirates of the Caribbean series; Richards played Capt. Jack Sparrow’s father.
Depp has admitted to crafting his performance as Captain Jack Sparrow in the Pirates movies on the iconic Richards.

Regardless of how busy Jack White gets with the Dead Weather tour, a possible solo album and appearing with Jimmy Page and the Edge in the guitar documentary It Might Get Loud – there’s always time for Keith Richards!
Richards tells Rolling Stone that he and White have recently worked together: “I enjoy working with Jack. We’ve done a couple of tracks.” Asked by Rolling Stone if White might possibly man the controls as producer of the next Stones album, Richards replied, “I couldn’t fuel that rumor any more than to say Jack and I are in touch.”
So you’re saying there’s a chance?
