Rock The Bells is taking tips from Coachella and doubling the number of days for its yearly event. It’s also bringing back a couple high-profile reunions from Bone Thugs-N-Harmony and the Hit Squad. Elsewhere, Nas, Wiz Khalifa, Kid Cudi and Missy Elliot are also on the bill.
A fresh round of new album releases this week shows us the consequences of some things not washing out (at least for You, Me, and Everyone We Know), even Trent Reznor can’t resist facebook (at first denying the offer, then accepting and scoring it “a shade darker”), and despite being arrested for drug possession and pining emotionally about the past, Kid Cudi’s musical odyssey continues as a bold step into a newer, deeper sound.
Today is the big day when West Hollywood will shut down parts of Sunset Boulevard for their beloved Sunset Strip Music Festival and you shouldn’t even have had to ask if we are going to be there to cover it. Kanye West‘s latest protege, Kid Cudi, has made a name for himself over the past year and for someone who runs in West’s circle of friends, he seems pretty chill. We liked him even more when he teamed up with electronic rock duo Ratatat and Brooklyn hipster duo, MGMT for the song, “Pursuit of Happiness.” However, the video for the song was lackluster for such a great collaboration. We’re sure Drake fans were happy to see him popping champagne bottles with Kid Cudi in slow motion, but it came off as just an other stereotyped video for the hip hop genre.
Lady Gaga previously announced that she would go on without Kanye West when their Fame Kills tour was completely canceled. However, she’s not going at it alone.
She recently announced that she would be taking Kanye West’s buddy, Kid Cudi, along with her and that they will tour together for the winter season.
