We’ll also be presenting a ton of lists including Top Albums of 2010, Top Videos of 2010, Top Concerts of 2010 and plenty more! However–we are kicking off the best of the best with some of the artists YOU – the reader – have chosen as some of our favorite BeatCrave Favs. We not only began highlighting some of the best up-and-coming, talented indie acts in February but we also gave you a chance to crown some artists with a BeatCrave Fav of the Month title. Those who earned the title advanced into the running for 2010′s last Fav poll.

Lanterns – the punk rock foursome recognized largely by their hometown of San Diego, Calif., – is on the verge of breaking new territory. We don’t know how long they’ve remained relatively undetected, but having heard their sound for the first time was like hitting solid gold. Now, while there are about three other bands out there named as similarly as one can get to these guys, do not be mistaken – only this brand’s substance, energy, and strong presence could’ve caught our attention the way it did, what with a pleasant and concise melodic and instrumental construct (read: drums and guitar!).
