You could be forgiven for assuming that you’d never hear about Kid Rock again unless he committed some heinous crime (the best way for stars to get back in the limelight!), but the rocker and bad-fashion guru has somehow managed to hold on to enough of a fan base to keep his name relevant. Relevant enough to perform on Vh1′s Super Bowl Fan Jam tonight, February 3, at least.

Football fans and “Glee” fans may not seem like the same kind of people, but when it comes to the Super Bowl, everybody in America is watching, so it helps to appeal to as many fans as possible. So, while the Black Eyed Peas have been recruited to deliver the half-time show–a departure from the classic rock acts which have dominated that part of the game for the past few years–Lea Michele from “Glee” has been asked to kick everything off (not literally) by singing “America the Beautiful.”

Last year, Beyonce nabbed the title of Billboard’s Woman of the year but Black Eyed Peas member, Fergie, takes the spotlight this time around. The first lady of the group was introduced by her peers Taboo and Apl.de.ap who reminisced over their first meeting and the success that they’ve all accumulated together. Fergie was joined by several other talented vocalists that night who were also honored such as “Glee” star Lea Michele and R&B songstress Jazmine Sullivan.
