Well, that was quick. Just a few weeks after officially declaring that Oasis is over, ex-Oasis singer Liam Gallagher has plans to form a new band.
According to NME, Gallagher, whose brother Noel already bailed from Oasis and has announced his own solo plans, is looking at 2010 to get a new project underway – perhaps as early as January.
And now it’s official. Liam Gallagher has stated that “Oasis is no longer,” according to NME, which ends rumblings that the lead singer would continue the band without his brother Noel in the mix, who bailed moments before a festival show last month.
The 37-year-old Liam said that he was considering his next move in the world of music, and said: “I’ll be doing music to the day I die.”
But no Oasis? Nope. It’s over…. for now. No! It’s over. Liam said so.
Now that his brother has quit Oasis and is off possibly working with Kasabian and probably lining up all sorts of cool, non-Oasis stuff, Liam Gallagher has tapped into his softer side by throwing his support to the campaign to save Britain’s honeybees, which are slowly dying out.
The singer had become more aware of the bees dire situation after the use of honey helped him cure a throat virus that forced Oasis to pull out of the V Festival in August. It’s now a special cause for Gallagher who is also lending his support to the new film The Vanishing of the Bees, set for release in the UK next week.
The Brit rocker even teamed up with a man wearing a giant bee outfit to promote the film this week.

MySpace Music has just launched the worldwide premiere of the highly anticipated new music video from international rock sensations Oasis. The video is for the hit single “I’m Outta Time” off of the band’s Dig Out Your Soul album which premiered globally on MySpace before hitting store shelves in October 2008. The video is filled with beautiful images of nature, including some such as the fox which looks straight out of a painting, not a music video. The backgrounds have beautiful castles and lighting that give it that fairytale type edge.
I think it’s funny to see Liam Gallagher singing very seriously in a cowboy hat, but it works with the video. Check out the video below and tell us what you think…
