The product of two Brazilian boys and one L.A. girl is Little Joy. Based in L.A., Little Joy is the side project of Strokes‘ drummer Fabrizio Moretti and Los Hermanos singer/guitarist Rodrigo Amarate. Regardless of what these musician’s background might say about them, Little Joy can best be described as a sweet love affair; nothing more, nothing less.
Late last year Little Joy debuted their self-titled album and for the most part the reviews were amicable. Songs like “Unattainable” (see video below) and “The Next Time Around” (see below) offer a sweet tropical sound with lovesick melodies; a perfect company to a glass of wine. The only agenda this music has is to calm you down, and hell, it sure does a good job at it. Check out our little joy, Little Joy, in our BeatCrave Fav series below.
