Whenever I buy a new CD, I feel so powerful because [it] belongs to me. Trust me when I tell you that even when you buy downloads on Amazon, or iTunes, the feeling is not the same because you don’t have the packaging of the music you bought. Although downloading is very convenient, there is no feeling like tearing apart that CD wrapper and looking through the art in the booklet. So dear readers here is another cheap DVDs series to keep you happy and save you time because we know you’re busy.

Innovative rock band from L.A., Mars Volta have there first song available for fans to stream and listen to. There fifth studio album titled Octahedron, will be released on June 23rd. The first track that is available now is called “Since We’ve Been Wrong”. A band that mixes beautiful melodies and rhythms in order to create intensity for each song has done it again. The song is a winner.

I always look forward to new The Mars Volta. They are one of the most innovative rock groups of our time. They are always changing to fit the environment around them. Every album they’ve released stems from new inspirations and so you can imagine how excited I was to find out that The Mars Volta‘s fifth studio album, Octahedron, will be released on June 23 by Warner Bros. Records.

Cerebral prog-rock guitarist Omar Rodriguez-Lopez says that the next two Mars Volta albums are in their finishing stages, while also commenting on the band’s Grammy nomination and his most recent release on Stones Throw Records.
Wax Simulcra from Mars Volta’s last album Bedlam In Goliath, has been nominated for the Best Hard Rock Performance Grammy Award, to which Rodriguez-Lopez says:
“I’m not gonna pretend like, ‘Yeah, man, that doesn’t mean shit,’ It’s not validating me or putting me down. It’s like if someone invites you over to their house for dinner. It’s nice of them if they invite you into their home, so you accept it and go over and see whether it’s awkward or not.”
