We previously shared the news with you about Paul McCartney receiving one of the highest honor in pop music. Last night he went on over to the White House to take the Gershwin Prize for Popular Song but, of course, Paul McCartney doesn’t just show up to a place without putting on a classic “would’ve been cool to be there” kind of shows.
During the ceremony, there were musical offerings from the Beatle as he serenaded first lady, Michelle Obama, with – you guessed it – the song, “Michelle.” However, the house full of celebrities and musicians really threw it down when everyone joined in for a sing-along during “Hey Jude.” Check the video out below!

Turns out that being married to the leader of the free world has its little bonuses – including having the cast of your favorite televised musical dramedy over for Easter celebrations. Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Michele Obama has invited the cast of Fox’s Glee to the White House for the traditional White House Easter Egg Roll on April 5th, an event which highlights healthy living and activities per the First Lady’s ‘Let’s Move!’ program.

It seems like the music world has another cool presidential family residing in the white house this year. Barack Obama may not play the saxophone like Bill Clinton, but we just can’t get enough of his dancing now, can we?
It’s also pleasant to know that his wife, Michelle Obama, finds importance on the arts as well. In fact, she is currently encouraging everyone to acknowledge the importance of music education by throwing an event.
