mobyss09 4 14 Mobys Music Video by David LynchMoby, the experimental music wiz, has a new album coming out June 30th called “Wait For Me.” It’s a record that Moby seems to have controlled every aspect of. He recorded it in his home studio, drew the album artwork, had his friends (not “rockstars”) sing on the tracks, got his friends to take the photography, and even help in the mixing room. I, personally was never too concerned with Moby’s work, but after seeing his new video, directed by David Lynch, I’m actually pretty intrigued about this new one. Tomorrow, April 15, there will be a free download on the Moby website of the new track entitled, “Shot in the Back of the Head.”

Extremely dramatic and engaging, the video consists of crude drawing that exist in a surreal and violent world. Check out the video and what Moby has to say about it below…

moby08 11 04 New Moby Stream and Download: Last Night Remixed

As of today Moby remixed his most recent album ‘Last Night,’ to make…. WAH LA… ‘Last Night Remixed.’ Clever title. Hand-picked by Moby, ‘Last Night Remixed’ includes ‘I Love To Move In Here’ remixed by both New York disco-punk outfit Holy Ghost! and Seamus Haji, who brings his typical frenetic beats to the track. The Freemasons remix of ‘Disco Lies’ was a hit for everyone from Pete Tong (who opened his show with the mix at the start of August) to Dave Spoon and Carl Cox. Elsewhere, you’ll find bass-driven club mixes from Brooklyn newcomers Drop The Lime, breaks don General Midi, Dutch producer Mason and Sheffield’s D Ramirez.
