When you’re a legend you don’t have to do anything more than be born in order to be celebrated. Fans of Bruce Lee from different parts of the world first “meet” came together online to create a tribute birthday song. Hong Kong-based music marketing executive Hans Ebert, Chairman of We-Enhance Inc and Yorkshire-born singer-songwriter Jon Harrison, based in the UK, created a song in honor of “Little Dragon.”
Check out two versions of the song below…

People in the U.S. are clearly not downloading enough music – legally that is. The numbers have been crunched and sadly digital music sales in the US are slowing down – fast.
A report from research group Nielsen tells a bleak story: digital sales are flat in the U.S. market with just 630 million tracks downloaded in the first six months of 2010, reflecting no uptick in sales from the same time last year.

A crisp blend of classic soul, traditional rock, and Americana — Jarrod Gorbel’s Devil’s Made A New Friend is a breezy listen time and time and time again. This solo project bears the undeniable Blake Sennett (Rilo Kiley, The Elected) stamp: heartonthesleeve and dreamy lyrics about solitude and love buttered up by floating keys and days and days in a willowy falsetto that begs for the girl to come back and for that girl to stay.

The always remixing Hyper Crush are back with their take on La Roux’s smash hit Bulletproof. Mixing it up a bit with their own signature style, they’ve come up with an interesting twist on the well known track. It’s a bit pop-y and upbeat for me (at least while sitting behind a desk working on my monitor tan), but easily could be played in a club to get people moving. They also released a new music video for you to check out with neon, breakdancers and a Delorean – and according to them “yes, THAT car from Back To The Future.”
Check it out below…

Just heard an interesting piece of news, if you were debating on whether or not to buy an OZZFest ticket know that if you buy a ticket before June 18th it comes with a full free download of Ozzy Osbourne’s upcoming album “Scream”! I hope someone told Ozzy? I for one have trouble believing that Ozzy is still A. performing and b. recording something original, BUT he’s still out there and still rocking it. Might want to catch him while you still can!
You can check out the first single of the album “Let Me Hear You Scream” and find out more about the album below…

Tiny Fires is one of the new melodic bands that is about to make waves. Their sound is a mixture of primal drums that could echo through caves and hallways and sweet innocence all wrapped into one. In their short time as a band they have played alongside Castanets, Phosphorescent, Julie Doiron, and many others. Founded in Maine in 2008, Tiny Fires is comprised of Dylan Metrano (Tiger Saw), Guy Capecelatro III (Unbunny), and Jeremy and Jerusha Robinson (Brown Bird / South China).
