Jimmy Fallon‘s covers of pop songs and internet sensations which are channeled through Neil Young are not a new thing. We’ve seen Fallon’s Young persona sing hits such as the theme song to The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, General Larry Platt’s “Pants On the Ground,” in addition to a melodic rendition of the Double Rainbow guy on YouTube.
This time around, Fallon/Young tackles a 10-year-old’s hit song, “Whip My Hair.” Are we talking about the one and only Willow Smith? Of course, we are. We especially want to point you in the direction of Fallon’s cover because of his special guest. Check it out after the jump!

Neil Young fans, rejoice – the cantankerous and unpredictable singer/ guitarist/ rock ‘n roll badass has just announced the release of four previously unheard records as part of his Archives 2 series. While his fellow artists continue to boycott the state of Arizona (Hall and Oates not performing in AZ – that’ll teach that mean ol’ immigration law!), the always unpredictable Neil Young has decided to swing his musical clout and focus in a different direction. Instead of railing against The Copper State, Young plans to dedicate a leg of his Twisted Road solo tour in the United States to touring the recently oil-slicked Gulf Coast, according to Spinner.

Are you ready for some old school record action? This weekend marks the annual WFMU Record Fair in NYC. To celebrate, Warner Bros. Records is bringing vinyl to the people by hosting a booth you’ve got to check out.
Warner Bros. Records General Manager Tom Biery calls himself a vinyl freak and admits that there is not better place than the WFMU show to sell music directly to fans.
