TrentReznor Trent Reznor To Write And Perform Score To David Finchers The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo

After putting the live incarnation of Nine Inch Nails to bed (at least for now), Trent Reznor certainly hasn’t faded into the gloomy, eyeliner-caked and black leather-clad night—after releasing an EP from How to Destroy Angels (his new musical project with wife Mariqueen Maandig) and crafting the stellar, moody soundtrack to The Social Network with Atticus Ross, Reznor recently revealed that he’ll be teaming up with Network director David Fincher on yet another soundtrack collaboration—the score for Fincher’s upcoming adaptation of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, once again with Atticus Ross.

TrentReznor Trent Reznor Overwhelmed By Golden Globe Nomination For The Social Network

When Trent Reznor ended Nine Inch Nails as a touring entity in 2009, one might have considered that the black-clad doom-rocker was planning to ride off into the sunset (or gloomy, starless night in which no one loves him and only his black eyeliner can convey his loneliness, as the case may be); however, few probably suspected that within a year he would have helped craft an excellent, nuanced score to one of 2010’s very best films—and then get a Golden Globe nomination for it.

Nine Inch Nails To Reissue Pretty Hate Machine Nine Inch Nails To Reissue Pretty Hate Machine

If there are any bitter Nine Inch Nails fans out there because they haven’t been too happy with the band’s hiatus nor are they satisfied with the former frontman’s project with his wife, How To Destroy Angels – and definitely not welcoming Reznor’s collaborative score with Atticus Ross for The Social Network, then this may be the one day they can crack a smile of approval if not one of joy.

Although we’re actually digging the material Reznor‘s been working on lately, an announcement in regards to another reissue of NIN’s album, Pretty Hate Machine (via Consequence of Sound via TwentyFourBit), is pretty much going on top of everyone’s list. Details after the jump!

TrentReznor Trent Reznor To Bring Year Zero To Television

In case you feared that your life would be alarmingly Reznor-free following the retirement of Nine Inch Nails as a live entity, please allow Trent Reznor to allay your worries: not only will David Fincher’s The Social Network feature a score by the head Nail, but his angry, intentionally messy 2007 concept record Year Zero (concerning a near-future dystopia engendered by the Bush/ Cheney administration, natch) will be coming to a small screen near you as a long-rumored television show, thanks to HBO and the BBC.

Just because both Ke$ha and Lisa Simpson wake up feeling like P. Diddy, doesn’t mean the rapper can do anything he damn well pleases. Or can he?

Diddy‘s large ego seems to be feeling inferior to Kanye’s because he, too, is starting his own blog and so far, it’s been set up in that “I’m Diddy. I’m epic” dramatic kind of way. The blog provides a trailer which includes clips of himself with Martin Luther King, Jr., Muhammad Ali, Michael Jordan, Will Smith, and Barack Obama.

Recently, there was an uproar of the news Trent Reznor‘s half lies again. He’s not really retiring from performing- just touring with NIN. He got married to the gorgeous Mariqueen Maandig of West Indian Girl and decided to start another group called How To Destroy Angels. Even though he couldn’t stay away from Twitter, he is done with NIN for good… but maybe we’re not?

Did all of you go to the final NIN concert in Los Angeles back in September? We’re assuming that all of you diehard fans weren’t there because The Wiltern can only seat 2,300. However, you may be able to relive that night again – even if you weren’t there.
