Don’t be surprised to find the reviews a little skewed this week. I never thought I’d be compiling The Strokes and Chris Brown together under the worst of the week, but critics have done a pretty equal job trashing on both albums. The reviews look better as we venture into the world of Swedish rock and some oldie-but-goodie tracks that will bring you back to the 1980s.

According to a Reuters article, the remaining members of theatrical pop punk quartet, Panic At The Disco, aren’t worried about making music (maybe they should be) after the band split back in July. Lead singer Brendon Urie and drummer Spencer Smith kept the Panic At The Disco name while guitarist Ryan Ross and bassist Jon Walker started a new group, the Young Veins.
Of course Urie still has a big head about the future of the project. While working on their last album that was eventually titled Pretty. Odd., Urie expressed to the media how the band scrapped an entire albums worth of material in order to “re-focus” which resulting in the band dropping the “!” to appear more grown up (they know who their audience is, right?).

The pop-emo hybrid that is Panic at the Disco has had a tough year. Rumors suffaced a while ago about the replacement of two of the groups core members, guitarist Ryan Ross and bassist Jon Walker. Ross and Walker announced their plans to leave the band earlier this month and according to Spin.com, two musicians are already in waiting to take their spots.

They have been around for for less than decade, but Panic at the Disco was all the rage a couple of years ago, making teenage boys everywhere know that it was okay to wear eyeliner. But now, after much success in the pop charts and even an award nomination on their 2005 debut album A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out, two of the band members have decided to call it quits.

The Honda Civic Tour ended its two month long trip at the Honda Center on Saturday Night. 8,000 people of all ages showed up to watch, and even a few started waiting in line at 6 in the morning.
Unfortunately, I missed Phantom Planet, but the rest of the bands were very good. Despite some malfunctions, The Hush Sound played a very solid set. Motion City Soundtrack (who, in my opinion, should have headlined), was very good, as always. Panic at the Disco rounded out the show with an hour and fifteen minutes of pleasure for the audience.
