Proving that digital bitching, whining and acrimony can totally make up for a band being, well, not good, Billboard’s Social 50 chart ( which “ranks the most active artists on the world’s leading social networking sites — YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, MySpace and iLike — using a formula blending weekly additions of friends/fans/followers along with weekly artist page views and weekly song plays”) reports today that Paramore has reentered the charts based solely on the fact that recent ex-members of Paramore are publicly sniping with their former band and label.

katyperry08 10 14 MTV Europe Music AwardsFauxmosexual and “I Kissed a Girl” singer Katy Perry has been granted the prestigious honor of hosting the 15th annual MTV Europe Music Awards at the Echo Arena in Liverpool on November 6.

In addition to her hosting duties, Perry has been nominated for best new act and most addictive track. If you thought Perry wasn’t enough however, she’ll be joined by her bff and pseudo-celeb blogger of the stars, Perez Hilton, who will be hosting the official online awards show and also reporting for MTV News from the red carpet.

Grace Jones, Solange Knowles and Tokio Hotel are set to present, while Duffy, The Killers and Solange’s older sister Beyonce will be performing.
