Both English musicians, Patrick Wolf and Lily Allen, have been in the spotlight for unfortunate circumstances other than their music. Now they’re both teaming up to say that the Featured Artists Coalition is being way too leniant on piracy.
Allen has previously made her disagreement with Radiohead‘s Ed O’Brien public when she posted a blog stating her concern over the Coalition’s responsibility for making illegal downloading seem okay:

Queen Latifah, Raekwon, The Roots! We are in for some good quality hip-hop music this week. Queen Latifah goes back to her roots after trying jazz music (which was surprisingly good) for her last album. The Roots, Hip-Hop’s band famed for still using live instrumentals in performances, say their 9th studio album has a positive attitude which focuses on the end of the Bush administration and the beginning of the Obama presidency.
It seems we have run out of good titles for albums. Just a few weeks after Ginuwine released an album titled The Bachelor we have Patrick Wolf using the same name for his new one. At least the English singer-songwriter sounds completely different from the R&B crooner, with his romantic folk/techno-pop sound.

Patrick Wolf releases his fourth concept album “Battle;” a double album that has Oscar winning actress and UK avant garde filmmaker muse, Tilda Swinton, as the “Voice of Hope” narrator throughout the record. The album is released on Patrick’s own record label, Bloody Chamber Music, a bow to author Angela Carter, and is funded through Bandstocks.com; a revolutionary funding vehicle that allows fans to buy stocks in the album and to contribute to the financing of the music’s production and marketing, and as from this week is available to US fans.
