Rap legends Public Enemy might want to do a cover of Supertramp’s “Give A Little Bit” for their next album, because that’s what the band wants from fans – a little bit of their money!
Chuck D, Flava Flav and the boys have a new business model in mind: ask fans to help pay for their next album. The plan comes via the Amsterdam-based SellaBand, with whom the group recently signed with; for each $25 donation, fans will get a share of the revenue from the album, as well as a numbered copy. The group is hoping to raise $250,000.
And you thought Radiohead’s pay-what-you-like method was out of the box.
