- Rumspringa | Friday, September 24 | 8:30 pm | 21+ | $8 | Bootleg Theater, Los Angeles, CA – Map | The LA-based band tickles us about ten shades of pink, they makes us feel something giddy. Their energy exists on a spectrum from mellow to highly charged an therefore is among the most contagious out there. Pretty much, to have it contained within the Bootleg’s warehouse walls serves as a challenge as to whether or not they can blow the roof off the joint, maybe, maybe piecing it together with a more smooth, blues-y composition. Hi, BC readers! It’s that time again! We’re presenting another stellar show for you tonight along with I Promote Good Bands over in Glendale at LaBrie’s Lounge, the venue that is formerly The Scene. We told you we’d start doing more concerts and it’s already that time for our second show of the July! For all of those who came out to our Wires in the Walls show, make sure to come out to LaBrie’s Lounge in Glendale for a killer lineup with a BeatCrave favorite, Rumspringa!

Hello BeatCravers! It is no secret that we are big fans of Saint Motel over here. These guys are really making their rounds; they recently had a month-long residency at Spaceland in Silverlake and played at CMJ. If you live around LA and have not made it out to one of their shows, fear not, we have teamed up with KROQ Locals Only to help present the wonderfulness that is Saint Motel this weekend. They will be joined by the equally great Rumspringa, Red Arrow Messenger (formerly The Cheat), and Army Navy. We at BeatCrave just can’t get enough of this groovalicious Los Angeles based band! We got to know Rumspringa in a recent interview, are bring them to you live with Saint Motel in what is sure to be one hell of a show and are now proudly inducting them into our fantastic BeatCrave Fav Series! Why all the fuss you ask? Well, first of all, don’t ask stupid questions. Secondly, it’s because they are so fun, original and so downright funky you can’t help but feel like you’ve been time warped back to an era when music was less cerebral and more about the soul, man!

It’s finally here! It’s the week of CMJ Festival 2009 in NYC and it all starts tomorrow. The Big Apple will literally be bursting with more noise than usual from October 20 and through October 24. If you’re going to be in the area, make sure you do your last minute registration. You have until 6:00pm tomorrow.
After that, passes will be available onsite at the Judson Memorial Church which is located at 55 Washington Square South, between Thompson and Sullivan Streets.
Also, we assume you’re planning a schedule before you go. (It gets crazy!) So check out our top pick of LA bands who will be playing CMJ this week. We’ve got dates, locations, and times for you below!
