After Ryan Adams performed on stage with his wife after an 18-month long hiatus, he’s recently brought some more joyful news to his fans.  At the beginning of the month, he finally revealed the details for the long-awaited Cardinals III/IV albums. Slated to be released on his personal imprint, PAX-AM Records, the collection of 21 tracks will be out in stores digitally and physically – on CD and double vinyl.

Unfortunately just based on the pre-order demands (which begin on November 23rd), the CD is already sold out so you can get your hopes up of owning the vinyl as of right now. If that bums you out, at least we have a goody for you this happy Friday. We’ve got a full track of one of the songs! Not a sample – but the entire song. Listen to it below!

ryan adams Watch: Ryan Adams and Mandy Moore Rehearsal For Oh My Sweet Carolina

Last week, some Ryan Adams fans may have gotten extremely excited to hear that the singer-songwriter was added to 826LA‘s benefit last night. After being absent from the stage for nearly a year and half, some loyal fans in Los Angeles may have jumped at anything to see this performance. However, because it was for a benefit, the tickets were a bit pricey – up to $250!

For those of you who were able to help the organization out and buy a ticket, we give you a good firm pat on the back. However, if you were like many others who just didn’t have the cash for the bash, we’ve got a little treat for you after the jump!

cuomo weezer Weezer Joins Forces With Ryan Adams On New Album

Coming off of the annoying Ratitude album, as well as the even more annoying World Cup Song “Represent,” once-great nerd-rockers Weezer have been rather busy of late.  They haven’t quite entered the Ryan Adams-level of hyper-prolificacy, but Spinner reports that Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo has just completed a song with Adams, which may be the next best (and, believe me, I use the term ‘best’ very loosely here) thing.

Album Review: Ryan Adams’ Orion

Ryan+Adams Orion ab060110 Album Review: Ryan Adams Orion

Ryan Adams musical output exists in two completely different worlds.  One of those worlds is inhabited by the heartfelt, alt-country (or country-ish at times) songs that made him famous on his eleven official studio albums (if you’re counting 2007′s Follow the Lights EP).

The other is a bizarre planet where the music ranges from hilarious attempts at rap (“I Like You and You Rock” recorded under the name DJ Reggie) to full on metal and hard rock recorded under monikers like Werewolph and Sleazy Handshake.  That stuff is usually released for free on the internet.  The guy who blessed the world with “Come Pick Me Up” has no intention to make you pay money to hear “Funkyness University”.

Ryan Adams’ latest album, Orion, lives in both of these worlds.  And the results are pretty fascinating.

ryan adams Ryan Adams Releases Sci Fi Metal Album

Ryan Adams is known for moments of eccentricity, the least of which being that he writes and releases about 95,000 songs per year (last year included black metal tunes under the pseudonym Werewolph, and a series of hard rock songs with the name Sleazy Handshake).  Things have been a little quiet on the Adams front lately, with 14 albums and EPs released between 2000 and 2008, while ’09 and ’10 have been relatively uneventful.  That is, until now.

You can sample a new tune, which might or might not be called “Electrosnake,” on his website.

Poll: Mandy Moore and Ryan Adams Engaged What Do You Think?

Well, we’ve heard rumors in the past about this relationship and now we’ve got all the proof we need! Mandy Moore and Ryan Adams are engaged! Moore, herself, has even confirmed that the couple is planning to tie the knot. Pop star turned actress, Mandy Moore, has been in high profile relationships in the past with men such as Wilmer Valderamma, Zack Braff, and Andy Roddick. However, when we heard she was shacking it up with alt country/rock singer-songwriter, Adams, we were just a little surprised. Not on her part… but on his part! Come on, we know Moore is gorgeous, but we think Parker Posey is the cooler brunette out of all his ex-girlfriends. (Do we have Rachael Yamagata to blame for this? She HAS worked with both musicians.) So, let us know…
