“The X Factor” is getting a makeover, from head to toe. U.K. TV personality Steve Jones won’t be returning as host for the second season of “The X Factor,” along with judges Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger. Jones confirmed the bad news via Twitter, telling fans what a ‘shame’ it is that he won’t be hosting the show again.

Although there has rarely been a season of “American Idol” in which everyone agreed upon who the winning contestant should be, the show deserves respect for putting the power in the hands of the people and asking them to decide who will win the competition. However, for casual fans of the show, the text-message voting process may have seemed too tedious to be worth participating in.
However, according to The Epoch Times, that may change, as viewers will soon be able to vote through their Facebook accounts.

With Simon Cowell focusing his efforts on his new talent show “X-Factor“, popular music stars Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler have had to do their best filling in for him on “American Idol.” Whether or not they are doing a good job at it is up for debate, but Cowell seems to think J-Lo would make a strong judge; he asked her to ditch the “Idol” gig and come join the panel on his show.

Simon Cowell, who has produced albums of Leona Lewis and Il Divo, has his heart set on signing Rpattz to a record deal. Word from E! and Celebuzz has everyone talking about the American Idol judge getting deliriously giddy over the thought of making the Twilight star a pop star as well.
The only thing stopping this Idol-vamp merge is Pattinson, himself. Even though Cowell is willing to do anything to sign the actor-sometimes-singer-songwriter, friends of the teen heartthrob are saying Pattinson is being more than hesitant about the offer.
