Mick Jagger Lends His Support To Save The 100 Club Mick Jagger To Host Season Finale Of Saturday Night Live

In a surprise move, Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger is set to host and act as the musical guest on the May 19th season finale of Saturday Night Live.  Why shocking?  Well, he’s got nothing to shill—his SuperHeavy bandmates are not billed with him, so that’s out; most of the Rolling Stones 50th Anniversary celebrations are being pushed back to next year due to Keith Richards’ health; and Jagger hasn’t released a solo disc in years.  Is this the first salvo of unannounced Stones promo performances?

Watch Kanye West Brings The Power To SNL Watch: Kanye West Brings The Power To SNL

Kanye West may have softened up a tad (keyword: tad) after he bruised his own ego with the whole Taylor Swift-VMAs nonsense, but he’s still got that confident swagger only he can pull off. After playing nice with SNL again, he returned to the stage to perform two of his latest singles, “Power” and “Runaway.”

Extravagance and West are like a couple who are always committing too much PDA (just follow his tweets for Pete’s sake), so we knew the rapper was going to have something up his sleeve for the late Saturday slot. However, the tasteful art – which is what he meticulously turned his performances into – were shockingly beautiful. If you haven’t gotten a chance to see the two powerful SNL performances yet, check them out below!

Betty White and Jay Z SNL Skits Were Scrapped Betty White and Jay Z SNL Skits Were Scrapped

After the Facebook campaign to get Betty White on Saturday Night Live was successfully accomplished, fans rejoiced in anticipation especially when we all realized that Jay-Z would be the musical guest. Betty White is a novelty in the entertainment industry – TV, film and radio wise – but we also know we don’t Jay-Z HOVA without reasons.

There was quite a buzz going around about the unlikely couple doing a few skits together. (To be frank, if Tina Fey and Justin Bieber can team up, so could these two!) However, according to Dime Wars and everyone who caught the show late Saturday night, there were no scenes with the rapper and actress side by side.

Jon Hamm Forces Michael Buble To Sing For His Life Jon Hamm Forces Michael Buble To Sing For His Life

Let’s face it. Jon Hamm is one of the most dashing men to appear on our TV screens today and we bet if our DVRs and Tivos had feelings, they’d agree that they’re more than happy to record some of his handsome features for us. Hamm is mostly known for his character, Don Draper, on Mad Men. However, some 3o Rock fans may also know him as one of Liz Lemon’s crushes, Dr. Drew Baird. With a connection to NBC, it was only a matter of time before Hamm got to host Saturday Night Live. This weekend’s show was Hamm’s second time hosting.

Watch Julian Casablancas Perform I Wish It Was Christmas Today1 Watch: Julian Casablancas Performs I Wish It Was Christmas Today

Julian Casablancas visited Late Night with Jimmy Fallon last night to promote his latest solo album, Phrazes of the Young. However, instead of performing one of his regular tracks, he opted for a holiday song. We previously told you about Casablancas’ desire to cover SNL’s “I Wish It Was Christmas Today,” and it looks like he actually did it because it’s a bonus track on his album!

Watch him rock out with the originators, Jimmy Fallon and Horatio Sanz, as he does his cover with The Roots backing him up. It’s not as silly as we thought it would be… until the two jokers join him on stage! Check it out below!

Taylor Swift To Host Saturday Night Live Taylor Swift To Host Saturday Night Live

Although the popular comedy-skit show had asked country-pop singer, Taylor Swift, to host back in the summer, the timing couldn’t be more perfect. Come November 7, you’ll be able to watch Taylor Swift on the screen without any interruptions by any egotisical rappers.

According to the Associated Press, Swift will be doing double-duty as she will be hosting/acting in the Saturday Night Live skits and performing as the musical guest as well. Past hosts who have done the same include Justin Timberlake, Sting, and Janet Jackson.
